Today 19th August World Photography Day.
It’s a overall celebration of mankind,emotion,moments,event through photos,so it’s for the lovers of photos not only the professional photographers. In this pandemic hit year 2020 World’s first online art gallery was launched. Participants are from 100 countries over 270 in numbers.
Why it is World Photography Day?
On this very day, in the year 1839, the French government bought the patent for the Daguerreotype and released it “free to the world”.
What is Photography ?
Photography is a way to capture life, a moment to reminiscent later in future. It is the only aspect to feel the emotion of that very second. It can create a story or remind the event with a bunch of emotions. It doesn’t need any training to make it clear to anyone in this world. As the renowned photographer said noted below-
“Photography is the only language that can be understood anywhere in the world.” – Bruno Barbey.
Beginning of the art Photography
Photography begins with holding hands of an Iraqi Scientist in 11th century with an object called Camera Obscura. Though at that moment it couldn’t shot & save any image after many modernization of that object, until in the mid 1820s French researcher Nicephore Niepce took hold the honour to capture the first recorder image, and create experiments with different chemicals & techniques to initiate modern photography.
In 1870,Richard Maddox with gelatine plates modified camera that became smaller, more portable.Then the most known name with photography George Eastman who established Kodak in 1880. Then 35mm film became cheap for all. Polaroid invented as an expensive unique version of camera for instant image in mid 1960.
Japan brought modernized version of cameras with Asahiflex & Nikon with SLR cameras. Interchangeable lenses introduced & produced by Nikon. In 1980 – 1990 is called digital age. Point and shoot cameras used digital media rather using film.In 1990 Kodak invented first digital camera i.e DSLR, Digital SLR. Now every photography giants started manufacturing DSLR from Canon, Nikon & all others.
