World photography day

What is Photography?

In my words, capturing moments in digital or still form is called Photography. Photos help us to reminiscence the moments we spend. We cherish memory with a piece of art called Photos. It is the most exotic popular recreation & activity in today’s world.

There are so many definitions. Some say Photography is the art of capturing light with a camera, generally via a digital sensor or film, to create an image. It is the art, application, and execution of creating long-lasting images by recording light, sometimes electronically by means of an image sensor, or chemically by means of a light-sensitive material such as photographic film.

Today we celebrate World Photography Day. Annually all over the world the on 19th August it’s been celebrated. The day is celebrated with the art, craft, science, and history of photography.

History to remember

The photographic process was invented in form of Daguerreotype by Frenchmen Louis Daguerre and Joseph Nicephore Niepce in 1837. As per reports, the French Academy of Sciences announced the Daguerreotype process in 1839.

But at the same time, we should remember Ancient Chinese & Greek might be aware of the practice & use of pin-hole projector set up to capture images in the 16th Century. Then ‘Camera Obscura was invented.

In the 20th Century with Autochrome plates, hand-printed techniques have been obsolete. And we got color photography. Then we advanced our legacy with digital advancement. Now, we are living in the digital era with smart and easy photography. Where photography changed from Analogue to digital.
